Marianna was born in Athens in 1992. She studied acting at the Napier University of Edinburgh and she is currently finishing her degree in Communication, Media & Culture at Panteion University in Athens. From a young age she dedicated hours of practice in ballet and contemporary dance as well as theatre and acting. Today, she is active in physical theatre and performance.
Her curiosity about Yoga emerged as a natural consequence and need to evolve and study in depth the endless possibilities of mind and body. In 2016, she completed the 200 hr Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training next to Evangelos Apostolopoulos and Jonni-Lyn Friel. In 2017, she was also trained as a Yin Yoga Teacher with Tymi Howard and an Accessible Yoga Teacher with Jivana Hayman. Alongside, she continuously attends Yoga seminars and workshops.
The style of her classes is based on the main principles of Yoga but at the same time borrows creative elements from other movement disciplines and from various forms of art. Marianna believes in the importance of safe guidance and learning through anatomy studying and alignment practice. This element allows students to experience the therapeutic function of Yoga, while at the same time they become conscious about how their body works and develop themselves in every aspect. Her passion is to carefully select music for every class, set the atmosphere and match the tunes to the rhythm, the mood and the style of each exercise. Her goal is to offer an all-round and above all enjoyable experience where the students will be able to find some tools that will help them discover their own unique abilities and talents on and off the mat.
