Vangelis Varis

Vangelis Varis was born in Athens and has been living in Evia with his wonderful family for the last 21 years. He was initially introduced to the oriental arts through Tai Chi and Yoga, which supported him in his later introduction/love of Thai Yoga massage.

In 2009 at Sunshine House, which became his second home, he was strongly influenced and inspired by Takis (KrishnaTakis), his first teacher and now mentor.

In this long course, his practice and experience were formed by various other teachers, such as David Lutt, Arno L’Hermitte, Rosemary Wallach, Pau Castellsague, Itzhak Helman, Felicity Joy, Gabriele Schüers, with some of whom he has coexisted as student and later as an assistant & therapist in dozens of seminars in Greece and abroad (Vienna, Zurich etc.) since 2012.

In addition to the beauty of Thai Yoga massage, he has also been enchanted by other techniques such as OsteoThai, Craniosacral therapy, Chi Nei Chang (abdominal and vital organs massage), Lomi-Lomi massage. In recent years (since 2016) he has been deeply touched by the scientific approach of Osteopathic medicine through the 5-year learning of the SICO (Swiss International College of Osteopathy) school in Switzerland, thus creating a special combination in his treatments and in his teaching in seminars he has been conducting ever since.

Vangelis seeks healing through massage and sounds, hence he surrenders himself to polyphony, dance and music lessons: he respects and loves the santouri, percussion and bagpipes, as well as traditional Greek-oriental rhythms & melodies.
