Vasso Vassiliou

Vasso was born in Athens in 1988. At the age of 22 she decides she wants to become a dancer and without any previous dancing experience she starts preparation and succeeds in the entrance exams of the Ministry of Culture. She studies classical and modern dance at the Higher Vocational School of Dance Aktina, where she graduated in 2017.

 

During her studies, but also afterwards, she attends numerous seminars with approved teachers such as Vicky Panagiotaki (Alexander technique), Judith Sanshez Ruiz (Trisha Brown dance company), Inma Rubio Tomas (Forshyth technique), etc.

 

Due to several injuries, Vasso attends Pilates and Barre à Terre classes, and discovers in these techniques an excellent tool for physical strengthening, flexibility and rehabilitation. In 2019 she graduates from Studio One, where she masters in traditional Pilates and Pre-Pilates technique by Alan Herman.

 

She teaches contemporary dance, Pilates, Barre à Terre, as well as creative and music-motor education to children. At the same time, she studies at the Department of Social Work of the University of West Attica.
