In a nutshell
→ An experiential advanced techniques workshop that combines Dynamic Osteopathy with Thai Massage.
→ It utilizes rhythmic, waving, and oscillatory movements (Rhythmic Rocking) based on the natural flow of body fluids.
→ It enhances tissue mobility, supports cellular detoxification, and activates the self-regulation mechanisms of the nervous system.
→ It is addressed to therapists and students (Thai massage, Shiatsu, Classic massage, etc.) with basic experience who feel comfortable working on a mat (futon).
In more detail
The human body consists mainly of water and all its vital functions – tissue nourishment, toxin removal, and maintenance of homeostasis – rely on the free and unobstructed flow of its fluids. The free circulation of fluids is the foundation of self-regulation and health. As Andrew Taylor Still, founder of Osteopathy, used to say: “The rule of the artery is supreme.”
The Dynamic approach to Osteopathy and Thai Massage utilizes the natural movement of body fluids through rhythmic, waving, and oscillatory techniques. In this way, tissue mobility and renewal are enhanced, cellular decongestion and detoxification are supported, while the natural self-regulation mechanisms of the Autonomic Nervous System are simultaneously activated.
In this experiential seminar, you will be introduced to a comprehensive set of advanced techniques, designed for massage therapists who already possess some experience and wish to expand their skills.
We will explore:
Whether you come from a background in Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Classic Massage, or another form of bodywork, this workshop will offer you a new perspective on movement, rhythm, and the healing power of flow.
The seminar is addressed to therapists and students who already have basic experience in massage. Many years of professional experience are not required, but it is important for participants to feel comfortable working on the Thai Massage mat (futon), as the practice will take place in this environment.
Information
The 28-hour Dynamic-Advanced Thai massage training takes place at Spiti Yoga under the guidance of Vangelis Varis. It will be held over two weekends, 23-24/1 & 6-7/2 [Saturdays 14:00-20:00 & Sundays 10:00-18:00]. The cost of the training is 350 euros. An early bird price of 300 euros applies until 10/12.

In a nutshell
In this workshop we’ll guide parents through the basic steps of Shantala baby massage, a traditional Indian technique of massage for babies, such as described by the French obstetrician Frederick Leboyer (1976), after his observations of how it was practiced by a mother living in Kolkata, India.
What is the Shantala baby massage
This massage form is characterized by gentle and firm touches that stimulate, stretch, and also sooth and release the baby’s skin, connective tissues and muscles, helping to bring calm and an experience of deep connection, tuning and ease between parents and babies. It also contributes to digestion and metabolism in general, by helping to calm down the nervous system, through an experience of support, integrative touch, holding and smooth stimulation.
The workshop
The main intention of this workshop is to provide a space-time for parents to connect and communicate with their babies through touch. By offering them a simple score of techniques that are easy to learn and apply, parents can be led to a more personal discovery of how to develop communication and tuning with their baby through touch. The facilitators will explain and demonstrate the techniques, while the parents (or caregivers) will be the ones touching directly their babies.
Who is it for
For parents or caregivers of babies from 1-10 monhs old (coming together with their babies, to practice with them during the workshop).
Contraindications
Fever or acute illness, recent vaccination (less than 72 hours before the workshop), unhealed umbilical cord, active skin infections or lesions, chronic diagnosed conditions that might contraindicate touch.
Information
The Shantala baby massage: a workshop for parents will take place at Spiti Yoga under the guidance of Pedro Penuela and Roza Oikonomou. It will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 11:00-13:00. The cost of the training is 40 euros. Booking is required as spots are limited to a very small group of participants. In a nutshell
The Sound Bath is the heart of this experience. It is an experiential practice of deep relaxation, where the sound and vibration of various musical instruments create a continuous sonic environment. Within this space, the body can gradually release tension and turn toward inner observation.
In more detail
This Sound Bath experience takes place inside hammocks. The fabric gently supports and envelops the body, creating the sensation of a personal “cocoon”—a space of warmth, lightness, and reduced external stimuli. For those who prefer not to use a hammock there is also the option to participate using a yoga mat.
During the Sound Bath, gongs, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, various types of percussion, and vocals are used. The different frequencies, harmonics, and vibrations create a multi-layered acoustic experience. Attention gradually shifts from thoughts to sound, breath, and physical sensations.
The hammock adds another dimension: the feeling that the body is held, supported, and can simply do nothing for a while.
The Sound Bath can serve as a special time to pause, listen, and reconnect with the body.
The experience concludes with a gradual fading of the sounds, a few minutes of silence, and a gentle return to movement.
Information
The Sound Bath in Hammocks will take place at Spiti Yoga under the guidance of Eleni Christakoudi, a musician, somatic therapist, certified Sound Bath Practitioner, Kundalini Global Yoga Instructor, and Pranayama Practitioner. The dates and timetable are detailed below and the cost is 20 euros per session. Do you have any questions? Please, ask us! or send a direct message to [email protected]!

In a nutshell
In this workshop, we will encounter the Mother as an Archetype and move toward one of the most defining experiences of our lives: the relationship with our mother. We will encounter everything we received from this relationship, but also what might have been missing: care, safety, acceptance, the feeling of being seen and held exactly as we are.
In more detail
We will begin each day of the weekend with a targeted thematic Yin Yoga class. Yin is the vehicle to turn toward the body and the bridge to our inner truth.
Our experience of this, perhaps the most important, relationship in our lives, the relationship with our primary caregiver, carries many different shades: dark memories but also longing, play, trauma but also joy, oppression, unfulfilled expectations, as well as memories of love and care.
Over these two days, through Yin Yoga, Family Constellation and experiential exercises, we will explore fundamental qualities and needs, such as belonging, receiving, how we relate, and how we face life.
Through Family Constellation, we will connect with our stories in the present, as well as with potential ancestral entanglements, the thoughts and mind patterns associated with them, and together we will discover ways to stand before them with greater awareness and freedom.
Through experiential exercises in pairs, we will explore new ways of relating.
In this experiential workshop, we do not need to reach acceptance or love toward a specific person. Perhaps it is enough to be able to see them, acknowledge their place in the System, and “hold onto” life. We do not come to fix, “teach,” or impose anything. Inner soul “movements” cannot be imposed; they happen and emerge organically when we connect with our own authentic truth.
The tools that will accompany us on this inner “journey” are:

Autumn is slowly leaving and Winter is coming. It is the season to gather in the coziness and warmth of the house, of the family, of the heart. The season for calmness and contemplation.
Winter is our grandfathers’ fires and their stories, our grandmothers’ food and their tales, our gifts and bonds. In Winter we light the fire for everyone to be well, safe and full, in warmth and love.
We gather for a three-hour meeting to pray, to communicate and give thanks to those who came before us and brought us into this world. Using breathing techniques that can change the state of mind, as well as traditional guided visualizations, we will meet with our lineage, get in touch with our ancestors, ask for their gifts and leave our given burdens behind. We will talk to them, ask for their advice, their guidance and their support. We will learn how to open a communication channel with them in our daily lives.

What is this workshop about?
In a nutshell: A class/ Thai massage therapy for people without previous experience.
In more words: A first exploration in the field of healing through (mainly) the body, for which no one needs to have previous experience, specialized knowledge or impeccable talent. They can simply try, offer and receive a simple but comprehensive treatment.
We start with some hands-on theory and fundamentals to familiarize ourselves with the contact and movement of our body in relation to the other body next to us, to warm up and break the ice. Then we form the final pairs we’ll work with. The instructor stands in the center offering treatment and giving instructions and corrections so that at the same time students offer the same treatment to their partner. The pairs then switch roles.
Thai massage is deeply therapeutic and can be very enjoyable for the recipient. However, it is just as therapeutic and enjoyable (albeit exhausting) for the person offering it.
