Valiana Simitakou was born and raised in Sparta. Her need to engage in dance drove her since her school years to Athens every weekend, where she studied next to Christina Bescou, from whom she was taught classical ballet and introduced for five consecutive years to the technique of barre à terre.
She studied dance at the Aktina Professional Dance School.
She lived in London where she danced with various groups and participated in inter-artistic projects. Valiana has participated in dance projects and has attended seminars, among others, in Berlin with Luna Park, in Tel Aviv with Batsheva, in Switzerland with Alexandra Bachzetsis, etc. Today, she studies to be theatrologist at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
