Past

Our body is made up primarily of water, and all of its life-sustaining nutrition and toxin elimination processes rely on fluids flowing through it unhindered. Free fluid flow is the foundation of self-regulation and health. “The rule of proper circulation is supreme,” said Andrew Taylor Still, a pioneer of Osteopathy.

The Dynamic approach to Osteopathy and Thai Massage is based on the idea of moving body fluids, which increases tissue mobility and renewal, detoxifies cells and has a regulatory effect on the Autonomic Nervous System.

A two-day workshop full of advanced techniques for all massage therapists with some experience who want to expand their skills and dive into the world of vibrations: Rhythmic shaking – Waves – Rhythms – Moving the Fluids – Connection to the WATER element, the source of our vitality. If you are curious to explore the dynamic approach and learn new techniques, whether you come from Shiatsu, Thai or Classical oil massage, this seminar is for you.

Mudras are a combination of intelligently delivered body positions that can alter mood, state and perception while deepening awareness and self-focus. Although hand mudras (hasta) are the most widespread in yoga, there are also the body mudras (kaya), as well as the consciousness mudras (citta). Each type is considered to have a specific effect on the body and mind, strengthening the psychic and energy centers, while their simultaneous practice in any asana enhances the effect and properties of the pose.

In this workshop we will get to know, not only on a theoretical but also on a practical level, the effects that mudras have on our material, mental and energy bodies. The practice of mudras will be accompanied by breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation as well as hatha yoga practice, which make up an integrated approach. To participate in the seminar, no previous knowledge or experience in mudras is required and it concerns both yoga practitioners and teachers.

Holotropic Breathwork sparks a journey of self-discovery and deep healing. It is a breathing technique combined with evocative music to create a safe inner space to explore the unconscious self. It is a transformative technique that allows the practitioner to access non-ordinary states of consciousness and tap into their inner wisdom for healing, growth and transformation. Through the practice of Holotropic Breathwork, a path is created that leads the participant to learn to trust and follow their intuition, but also to connect with their creativity.

East – Spring – Renaissance

Work with our light and dark shadow. A dive/journey from our deepest darkness to our purest light. The sacred meeting of these two parts of us (light and dark shadow) will lead us to leave behind what we no longer need and walk lightly and with love on the path of creation and light, the new vision, the true self.

In the previous cycle (Winter – North) we visited our ancestors and lineage, received their gifts and wishes while leaving behind the burdens passed down to us from previous generations. In this cycle we will work with our own pieces. We will begin to creatively chart our path and course, our intention and vision, guided by ourselves in our fullest form.

Autumn is slowly leaving and Winter is coming. The season to gather. In the coziness and warmth of the house, the coziness and warmth of the family, the coziness and warmth of the heart. Calmness and contemplation. The direction of the North, our grandfathers’ fires and their stories, our grandmothers’ food and their tales, our gifts and bonds. In Winter we look to the North and light the fire: for everyone to be well, safe and full, in warmth and love, for the seed to grow!

We gather for a three-hour meeting to learn how to open the heart in all directions and how to light the fire for everyone to be well and comfortable. How to pray and give thanks. How to communicate what’s inside us to what’s above us so that the mind is clear, the heart is open and the body is healthy.

The heart is an incredible organ of our body. It functions either as the great dynamo of our atomic electromagnetic field or as a blood distributor in the human body. It can be considered as the fulcrum / central point of bodily functions. It is connected to our emotions, our vulnerability, and traumatic experiences. It is intertwined with the driving force of self-development and courage.

We invite you in this seminar to discover these qualities of the heart and to unravel the heart as the important connection between the physical, mental and emotional state of every human being. We will learn how we can properly prepare the heart area as well as the rest of the body to achieve the ultimate liberation of the heart organ from physical or emotional adhesions. Finally, we will discover how to integrate the techniques we will learn into the flow of a Thai massage treatment.

The seminar is addressed to massage lovers with some experience; to everyone who suffers from visceral pain now and then; to anyone who wants to spend a special weekend full of theoretical knowledge and practice.

60 hour Thai yoga massage training, divided into four weekends.

Thai Massage has its roots in India as a healing technique and for 2,500 years has been proving its healing properties in the traditional way or by allowing it to be combined with modern western techniques. Thai Massage is being practiced on a special mat on the floor allowing the body’s connection with the earth. It is based on gentle pressures and stretches, relaxing rhythmic movements and spiral positions that help orthosomy and overall tissue movement.

The seminar introduces three branches of traditional Thai Massage through a structure based on play and curiosity about motion. During these four days, basic tools of Thai Yoga massage, Thai Oil massage, Osteo-Thai are taught, as well as the Sen energy lines that run throughout the body and are responsible for the proper energy flow. Also, focus is given on basic anatomy knowledge, on information about the Fascia, on exercises to release the spine through breathing, as well as on the need to practice consciously. The need of basic Anatomy and Pathology knowledge gives the therapist supplies to meet the maximum needs of a patient. At the same time, students learn meditation techniques, proper use of their bodies during therapy as well as ways of deep concentration and connection of breathing with their movement.

During the first two weekends (30 hours) no previous knowledge on Thai or any other type of massage is required. Basic techniques for the whole body will be taught and information will be given to start one’s first steps in this magical ancient healing art.

During the next two weekends (30 hours), students become familiar with more sophisticated thai massage techniques, and more emphasis is given on practice itself.

Between the first and second part, a specific number of thai massage practices requested by the teachers should be completed. This process aims to involve students as much as possible with Thai Massage and their better understanding of the techniques. In order for students to participate in this second part, the attendance of the first part is a prerequisite. The certification of 60 hours requires a number of requested practices and the adequacy of a treatment given under our supervision after the completion of the seminar.

Two fully updated manuals will be given to every participant of the training.

A Certification of Attendance will be given to those participating in the first 30 hour training.

The ITM Level 1 Certification will be awarded after the completion of the full 60 hour training.

A two-day advanced massage seminar to get acquainted with the intestines (guts) of ourselves and others. Emotional tensions and anxiety, modern lifestyle, inappropriate eating habits, stress levels are some of the factors that justify the expression “I hate my guts”. A quite common phenomenon for sufferers is reflex pain in the lumbar spine: the back hurts, but what really suffers is the abdomen.

Unfolding the thread from the anatomy of the area in question, we will enrich our knowledge and perception through the palpation of the abdominal organs. We will learn easy ways to contact the area, along with ways to enter deeper. So, by applying the appropriate techniques we can achieve the absolute relaxation of the receiver, as well as more chances of release from chronic or ephemeral tensions.

The seminar is addressed to massage lovers with some experience; to everyone who suffers from visceral pain now and then; to anyone who wants to spend a special weekend full of theoretical knowledge and practice.

Whirling is a dance and a meditation in movement. The most known reference is the whirling Dervishes. The practice of whirling can offer many and various benefits, it enables us to get in contact with various parts of ourselves – either close to our awareness, or further away from it. Through it we find strength, joy, relaxation, we’re being moved, and we find a sense of liberation – even the possibility of the ecstatic experience.

In these workshops, we’ll have the opportunity to introduce the beginners to whirling, to recap many of the basic technique issues that have already been touched upon, but also to go deeper and cover more issues as well. Whirling workshops are open and accessible to anyone who wants to join, and no special background or knowledge of the subject is required, as we follow the group’s dynamic and the special needs that are being present each time. Each one of us finds their way to whirl according to their body and their psycho-emotional state.

Yin Yoga uses gentle long held postures practiced with an attitude of compassionate acceptance to awaken the more Yin parts of ourselves. In this training, we will look at how this practice, with its ancient yogic roots, can affect our physical and emotional bodies. Through this understanding, we will explore ways to lead a Yin class and to incorporate Yin postures and philosophy into any practice and into our lives. We will also share many simple and playful practices to broaden our experience as yoga teachers, and to approach Yin Yoga and Life with an open and clear heart.

In some Native American traditions, Autumn is the period that brings us closer to the archetype of the Master. The Master has wisdom, teaches confidence, and has no expectations from the result of their teaching. A Master can be an event, nature, or a person. It guides us to a new experience, but it does not try to control the way we experience it.

All societies have their own Rituals. They happen to mark and honor the beginning of a new experience that will bring a big change in our lives. One of the most important parts of a ritual is the connection with the elements of Nature and the Intention. The intention will guide the new experience where we really want it to go.

What has Autumn got to do with Master’s archetype? How can nature bring us in contact with our true Nature and become our Master? What do rituals have to do with the Master’s archetype and Autumn? Together we will answer the above questions, share the experience of a beautiful ritual and close with a Yin yoga class accompanied with live music.

What do Klimt, Michelangelo and Abramovich have in common, other than the fact that they all have “m” in their name? It’s time to learn… and mainly “feel” the answer.

In a different art history seminar, inspired by Lina Tsioli, image is freed from its shackles. It comes to remind or even to create emotions, to socio-politically communicate the past with the present, to inspire the future. Mainly to incite the mood and to overcome theories, dates and movements. Through discussion, without the existence of authority and references to many -isms, we will disagree in order to agree that beauty exists and though it may not be the same for everyone, it does not need to be. It will be perceived with the five senses, it will be examined through this prism, the innocent, like a child’s game.

A series of seminars through which we get to know, not only theoretically but also practically, the effects that the mudras have on our material, mental and energy bodies. Each seminar includes a selection of mudras, hatha yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, all of which form a comprehensive approach to each subject. It is also important to note that the topics are independent of each other and each lesson is not a continuation of the previous one, as well as that at the end of the class, the thematic theory is provided in electronic form.

Mudras are a combination of intelligently provided body postures, which can alter mood, status, and perception as they deepen awareness and concentration. Although the hand mudras (hasta) are the most prevalent in yoga, there are also body (kaya) and conscious (citta) mudras. Each type is thought to have a specific effect on the body and mind, enhancing the mental and energy centers, while the practice of mudras during asanas enhances the effect and properties of the posture.

No previous experience is required in order to participate in this seminar.

* The Mudras, the Energy Transformers seminar consists of six individual 3-hour meetings.“Mudras and Yoga practice”, “Mudras: enhancing the lack of fear”, “Mudras and Self-cure”, Mudras and the Element of water”, Mudras and the Path to a healing process”, “Mudras – Founding the future”.

The course is open to all levels of Aerial Yoga practitioners as variations will be given.

This time we will have the opportunity to recap, to talk about everything we encounter in whirling, and to deepen our practice.

How can I improve my yoga practice in a playful and safe way, understand and feel my limits, move comfortably and without injuries? Which are the tools that give me an experiential understanding of the energy, effort and use of my body and myself so that I can practice safely, with joy and completeness?

A seminar based on the Feldenkrais method offers better quality and greater comfort in our yoga asanas. Through the seminar we pose questions and challenges and we are invited to participate in a game related to our body perception. By observing and exploring basic movements of torsion and extension of our bodies, we learn to move with greater ease, breadth and pleasure, to better use our breathing and to improve our performance.

The Feldenkrais method, very compatible with the practice of yoga at certain levels and quite different in others, can extend our view in terms of exercise and awareness. It is a tool and not a competitive practice, it is complementary and open, but at the same time completely structured.

You loved it and asked for a repetition: Crochet lessons are back! This time we knit a French type net bag that carries our groceries, loves the environment and fits in any purse. Put an end to that awkward moment at the checkout when asked whether you’ll be charged with a nylon bag or not! There’s only one question that remains: colored or pure white?

In this workshop, theatre meets poetry and meditation, in a journey to play, self expression and truth. The physical theatre is the art of “here and now”.

Together we will explore the levels of physical tension, the four elements of nature as they inhabit our bodies, our feelings and the ways in which they transform the body. We will meet our natural, unique creativity and connect with others through expression and joy. Matter meets its poetic dimension and becomes a whole new experience.

In this swirling seminar we focus both on physical and meditational preparation, as well as on technical issues regarding our practice. We will cover the entire course of swirling from the first step until the moment of ecstasy. As always, people who haven’t whirled before can join.

A complete training on Thai massage. Basic massage techniques for body well-being, stress management and balancing of the vital energy.

The purpose of this seminar is to become self-empowered as far as alternative ways of approaching health in everyday life is concerned. The structure and character of the seminar creates a path enhancing human communication which is lost among people in urban environments due to modern lifestyle, and a contact with the oldest method of care, body massage. We all have within us fundamental connections with the expression of feelings through touch. This is an attempt to revive it.

This seminar is addressed to health professionals, people who are in contact with physical and mental training systems (such as Yoga), but also to anyone seeking autonomy on health and wellness issues. It aims to broaden our general knowledge of addressing health issues that concern us daily. It is ideal for those who wish to get in touch with this kind of treatment. However, in order to set up professional bases, a commitment to this practice and continuous engagement with it is needed.

The therapeutic part of Acro Yoga, also known as Lunar, focuses on the therapeutic, relaxing and rejuvenating properties of Yoga, Thai massage and therapeutic flying. Lunar Asana works on the body’s basic mechanics, focusing on the cultivation of love and care for one’s self and the preparation for Thai massage. The techniques are taught on the floor and then applied in the air (therapeutic flying), using the element of gravity to enhance the therapeutic flow of prana (life force).

In the first part of the seminar, we wake up the body by practicing Lunar Asana and then we work in groups of three for safety and support, and everyone has the opportunity to act as base and flyer, to treat and heal. In the second part, couples are formed and, using the traditional Thai massage techniques, provide each other treatment.

The seminar is a brief introduction to the basic theory of the Chinese medicine, the way we choose to eat depending on our age and health condition. According to this philosophy, everything around us can be consumed and be considered as herbs, and thus can harm or benefit us.

We will discuss about the way food affects our relationship with the environment and we will try onsite two simple recipes to warm up those of us who are feeling cold. Understanding the body’s different needs at this time of the year, combined with our food’s qualities from the Chinese medicine point of view, we can discover new ways of taking food into consideration and help our body work better and with less discomfort!

A lot of people get started in the spiritual path because they feel pain. And the pain, most of the times, is located in two main areas: the pelvic and the shoulder girdles.

Thai Massage and Yoga share so much more than their birthplace in the North East of India. They both approach the Physical body with the aim of opening up and releasing tension. After that, and with the help of the breath, the mind can calm down providing relaxation and peace. Finally, and most importantly, there is a sense of deep calmness and clarity that allows to open up windows and doors in our spiritual paths.

With detailed anatomical and physiological support we will understand the needs of the body and its tendency to adapt and compensate. With a warm, precise and present touch we are able to become a platform for our patient to self-heal.

Who is this for:
Thai Massage lovers, Yoga Teachers and enthusiastic practitioners, Bodyworkers from all styles, normal humans that feel pain sometimes, or just people that want to have a unique, different weekend surrounded by freaks.

How can we experience yoga in everyday life?

The Living Your Yoga workshop is a series of Seminars on meditation and philosophy completed in 10 two-hour meetings.

In the first part of each meeting, we explore the basic concepts of the philosophical texts of Yoga and Buddha’s teachings, discovering how we can apply the philosophy of yoga in all areas of our lives.

In the second part of each meeting, we practice walking meditation and mindfulness meditation, exploring the techniques that lead to body, mind and spirit peace.

We are in constant movement, all the time, nonstop; the breathing, the blood circulation, the pupils of our eyes. When one hears the term meditation, the usual still and disciplined position comes in mind.

The seminar with Mateusz Iwulski –yoga and somatics teacher, butoh dancer- is an introduction to another kind of meditation. We will find out how, by using different Yoga and Butoh techniques, we can let ourselves flow into the movement we have inside us, how we can meditate through Yoga, through dance or through deep relaxation.

A three-hour workshop on the benefits of Restorative Yoga, the positions and use of props aiming at the deep relaxation of body and spirit. The workshop is aimed at both Yoga teachers and students who want to learn how to incorporate the Restorative Yoga in their classes as well as their personal practice.

Using the floor system, the Barre à terre is a technique based on ballet exercises for strengthening legs and abdomen. Apart from strengthening, it helps to increase elasticity, activates arms and legs, wakes smaller muscle groups helping to achieve movements with greater ease and accuracy. As a result, we gain “smart feet” and a strong core. This is a course that offers the pleasures and empowerment of dancing, but without its technical difficulty. It takes place on the floor, usually accompanied by classical music.

The Barre à terre open class is a great opportunity to get to know this kind of exercise. Participation is free of charge and requires no prior knowledge on ballet or any kind of dance.

This seminar is an introduction to the basic theory of the traditional Chinese medicine, yin and yang, and the theory of the five elements as applied in nutrition and herbology. The application of theory in nutrition and herbal medicine gave birth to the theoretical basis of acupuncture and is perhaps the most useful tool for building a strong and healthy body.

During the seminar, we will discuss the nature and quality of flavors, as well as how they affect our body’s function, from our energy levels to our mood. Knowing the effect food and herbs have on our body, we can, through dietary changes, relieve daily hassles such as heartburn, indigestion, constipation, up to chronic health problems.

A 3hour acroyoga seminar led by John Karveli and George Androulakis. The seminar includes solar asana warm up, inversion / handstand training, partner acrobatics calibrations, Christmas funky washing machine, leg love / Thai massage.

Qigong is the ancient Chinese practice of energy cultivation and energy balance improvement inside the human body. It is based on the premise that I am the most important person in the world and my body, the most important thing. Therefore, its aim is the longest and best quality life someone can have. With a view to longevity and optimal health, and after about 4000 years of study on how this is achieved, simple but powerful practical tools based on logic and the experience of hundreds of generations are bequeathed to mankind.

In this workshop we dispel the myths and muddy waters of mysticism and learn the perfectly logical basis of the Qigong theory and practice, tools which allow us to better understand our body, to recognize and fight stress, and through simple exercises to better adjust our balance, our metabolism and our health.

* Tai Ji Quan (T’ai chi ch’uan) is the most widely practiced martial art today. The term “Tai Ji” refers to the ancient Chinese cosmological concept of the interplay between two opposite yet complementary forces (Yin and Yang) as being the foundation of creation. This is a principle of the Chinese philosophy also shared between traditional Chinese medicine and Tai Ji Quan. Traditionally, Tai Ji was practiced as a martial art, but it was later found that practitioners enjoy multiple health benefits, such as improved physical fitness, stress relief and opening of the internal circulation (breath, body heat, blood, lymph). The slow and controlled practice that demands focus on the body’s both position and function brings about mental calmness and clarity, while enhancing the neural and muscular systems and balance.

** Qigong literally means “exercise/work with qi” and involves simple routines that combine controlled breathing with specific body movements that aim at the improvement of the body’s energy circulation. It is usually practiced along with tai ji as a more internal form of exercise for developing internal strength, breath control and as a way of cultivating life energy.

In the first part of the seminar, we explore basic motor skills of our muscles and joints, and various ways of contact and interaction between two bodies. Borrowing elements from different contemporary dance techniques, we learn basic techniques and ways of interaction through muscle pressure techniques (feet, hands, fingers, etc.) and through joints movement.

In the second part, we work in couples and offer each other a complete therapy. This includes traditional Thai massage techniques in various positions (prone, supine, lateral and sitting position).

Family yoga classes is a wonderful and fun way for parents and children to enjoy the physical benefits of Yoga, like strength, flexibility and balance, as well as the intangible gifts of acceptance, awareness, communication and concentration. Family yoga helps parents and children to communicate in a better way, while they support each other in a creative and fun way. It is a rare opportunity for both of them to observe each other and a great way to bridge the age difference between them. The parents get to observe the ways their children learn and how they interact in a group environment, while the children get to experience their parents as learners.

The seminar is mainly aimed at beginners – of lindy hop and dance in general. We learn the basic steps of lindy hop and partner charleston (type of dance included in lindy hop with different pace), with our main purpose being to show the feeling and fun Lindy hop can be.
